Bearings by Type
Spyraflo Needle-Roller Bearings combine an extremely compact, high performance, rolling element bearing with our patented mounting technology. These bearings offer a broad range of performance, ideal for slow to high speeds with light to high loads.
Unlike ball bearings, needle roller bearings are not constructed with inner races. A hardened shaft acts as the bearing’s inner bearing raceway, with the needles generally being retained in a cage. The shaft may be through hardened or case hardened with a minimum case depth of .040” [1mm]. Hardened inner rings are available for some sizes for instances where a hardened shaft is not permissible.
